This movie compares the dynamics predicted by the two models with and without the Fermi sea in the outer ES as discussed in Secs. III and IV of the manuscript. For these parameters in the Fokker-Plank regime one can see that the drift dynamics of the EDIE predicted in both models coincide with each other and also agree very well with the numerical solution of the full kinetic equations. In fact the solid and dashed colored lines are optically indistinguishable from each other. One also sees that the model without the Fermi sea in the outer ES overestimates the heating (smearing) of the Fermi sea of the inner ES. The dotted curves are the initial distributions.
