Model comparison II

This movie compares the dynamics predicted by the two Fokker-Planck models discussed in Secs. III and IV and a numerical solution of the full kinetic equations. The parameters used are outside the Fokker-Planck regime, since the EDIE is comparable to unity (Nb0 = 2.5). In this case, one can see that the drift velocity predicted by the Fokker-Planck models (both with and without the Fermi sea in the outer ES) is overestimated as compared with the full kinetic equations. This then also translates into too fast a smearing of the Fermi seas of both ESs. The thin dotted lines are the initial distributions.
